Actor Neal McDonough has left many in Hollywood scratching their heads.
McDonough, a Roman Catholic Christian who’s also married, has lost his acting gig on the ABC new series SCOUNDRELS because he would not do an on-screen sex scene.
McDonough’s stand is well known. Reportedly, on both DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and BOOMTOWN, he also refused. The ABC Network announced that actor David James Elliott, formerly of the series JAG, would replace McDonough.
MOVIEGUIDE® applauds McDonough for standing up for what’s right, even when there’s a cost involved. Shame on ABC and The Walt Disney Company, which runs ABC, for taking this ridiculous, bigoted action!
