Call for Papers at the IDEA Symposium on Issues Involving Higher Education

The IDEA Symposium invites your participation in the forthcoming event on “The Idea of a University: From John Henry Newman to the Multiversity and Beyond”

They Symposium will be held in California on August 5 – 8, 2010.

You can present a paper or participate in the discussions. Send 250-word abstract by June 1, 2010.

Our highly-acclaimed Keynote speaker is Dr. Ted Baehr lecturing on “The University in a Media Age: How the Entertainment Industry Impacts the University.”

Following the Symposium, fully-developed papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies on the same theme as the conference.

The JIS Symposia attracts some of the most creative interdisciplinary scholars from U.S. and abroad. For 2010, we have participants from as far as Ghana (W.Africa), Saudi Arabia, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, as well as U.S.

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies: An International Journal of Interdisciplinary and Interfaith Dialogue, a refereed trilingual thematic annual, seeks to re-connect once more knowledge, ethics and faith via a dialogue conjoining all the arts and sciences, social sciences and humanities, renewing the liberal arts, and re-inventing the university.
