STATE PROPERTY 2

What You Need To Know:

STATE PROPERTY 2 is a low-budget gangster movie now out on DVD. The first movie, from 2002, details how Beans, the leader of a black drug gang in Philadelphia, ends up in prison. The second movie shows how Beans survives in prison by hooking up with another black gangster from Miami named El Pollo Loco, or Crazy Chicken. Loco says his long-time mentor and substitute father, Biggis, can get them back on top in Philly and help defeat Beans' rival. When Beans suddenly gets out of jail by other means, he finds there's more going on than he and Loco thought.

STATE PROPERTY 2 is cleverly written and edited, but the story eventually succumbs to over-complicated, confusing plot twists that destroy the movie's momentum. Also, there are no real heroes in the story. The main characters are all pretty despicable gangsters. Obscenities are also rampant throughout the movie, and there is a pretty strong sexual montage of one of the gangster's daily sexual exploits. The movie's pro-gangster themes are laced with gangster rap. This immoral pagan content only serves to degrade young people living in the inner city, both young men and young women.
