What You Need To Know:
SLACKERS is a lewd, crude romantic comedy with a strong pagan worldview, despite the somewhat moral resolution of its story. Shot with an extremely low budget, the movie does a disservice to the talents of its cast, who probably could give likeable performances if given half the chance. The best person to blame for all of this is probably the screenwriter, who also wrote the equally immoral AMERICAN PIE 2. According to the studio press notes, he wrote the script for SLACKERS over a four-year period while he was a student at Yale University.

More Detail:
SLACKERS is another in a long line of college comedies with crude, immoral sexual content and foul language. In the story, a creepy, nerdy college student, Ethan, blackmails three college seniors, Dave, Sam and Jeff, who have lied and cheated their way through Holden University. A warped individual himself, Ethan forces them to help him get the girl of his dreams, a brainy co-ed named Angela. Angela, however, falls in love with Dave, and vice versa. This leads to comical complications that can only be resolved by telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
