“Romantic movies always leave you with the thought that the couple is going to live happily-ever-after. Well, happily-ever-after is a lot of hard work,” says Billy Crystal, writer, director, producer, and star of the new romantic comedy FORGET PARIS. Also starring Debra Winger and a host of NBA celebrities, FORGET PARIS takes a funny, poignant look at the marriage relationship. Theirs has been a relationship full of ups and downs. Life in Paris is wonderful for Ellen, a life-long dream. Can she give it up for love? Life in the NBA is wonderful for Mickey, but Paris it ain’t! There you have the basis for relational conflict, and the trouble only builds from there. Do they “Forget Paris!” — the most wonderful week in their lives — and go their separate ways? Or can they find some common ground in their crazy lives on which to build?

On the down-side are some foul language, some decidedly adult humor and a worldly, but not graphic, outlook on morality. The story does support and promote marriage but doesn’t give any clear reasons for it. The humor is decidedly adult, but only rarely borders on the offensive. Not just for romantics and not overloaded with humor, FORGET PARIS takes an honest look at relationships, with all the fun and all the pain.
