Movieguide®’s Strategy To Change the Entertainment Industry
Dr. Ted Baehr, publisher of Movieguide®: The Family Guide to Movies and Entertainment, nominated, voted and participated in the prestigious 22nd Annual Critics Choice Awards, which held its annual ceremony Sunday night.
On the red carpet, Evelyn Baehr Carroll and Jeremy Carroll interviewed top Hollywood filmmakers, including Director Andrew Stanton of “Finding Dory” and “Finding Nemo” and the screenwriters behind “Sully” and “Arrival.”
At the dinner and ceremony Sunday, Dr. Baehr spoke with Mel Gibson of “Hacksaw Ridge,” “The Passion of the Christ” and “Braveheart,” who reaffirmed his desire to come to Movieguide®’s 25th Annual Faith & Values Awards on Feb. 10, 2017. Mel introduced Dr. Baehr and Evelyn to Andrew Garfield, the star of “Hacksaw Ridge” and “The Amazing Spider-Man.”
Mel was grateful to Movieguide® for having received so many Movieguide® Awards.
Dr. Baehr also had extensive interaction with Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Nicole Kidman, Andrew Stanton, Jeff Bridges, Viola Davis, and his good friend, Jon Voight, as well as the great screenwriter of ELF and SULLY, Todd Komarnicki.
Todd was enthusiastic about Movieguide®’s work behind the scenes in Hollywood.
“Although the Critics Choice Awards weren’t given to Movieguide®’s picks,” Dr. Baehr said, “we are grateful we were the only faith-based advocacy group at the Critics Choice Awards.
