Mary Kate Robertson: How the Lord Grew My Mind and Spirit to Be a Mom

A year ago yesterday we found out I was expecting this little guy❤️ It’s crazy what can happen in a year’s time. Part of me can’t believe it’s been a year and the other part feels like that was a life time ago. This year was a growing one for me for sure. Lately I’ve just been thinking about how glad I am that God sticks with me and doesn’t leave me where I’m at. Sometimes I get so frustrated because I want to do better and be better with things, and feel like I’m not making progress, but I look back at a year ago and praise God for the growth He’s brought. My heart is so quick to wander off after this or that, but He’s always faithful and always near just waiting for me. And when I draw near to Him, He’s there ready to meet me and lead me in truth. Usually the growth isn’t super comfortable, but I can look back and be glad for it. I’m thankful that as I was growing John Shepherd, the Lord was growing me in mind and spirit, preparing me to be the mama of this little boy. I’m grateful that He’ll stick with me and guide me and continue to grow me.
