Actors Romeo Miller and Michelle Williams, who star alongside one another in T.D. Jakes’ WRATH: A SEVEN DEADLY SINS STORY, recently talked about how to approach anger.

T.D. Jakes previously produced the Movieguide® Award-nominated MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN.

The movie, which is based on Victoria Christopher Miller’s book of the same name, follows single lawyer Chastity Jeffries and her new relationship with Xavier Collins.

Miller, who is best known for his music career, said that while everyone may experience unfair circumstances, violence and anger are not the answer.

“This movie WRATH, and rage is real,” he said in a recent interview with the Christian Post. “I actually just spoke at this high school in Arkansas. This kid was basically beaten until he was just knocked unconscious, for nothing. When I spoke at this high school rally, the one thing I realized is that so many kids are going through bullying. So many kids are going through rage and they’re looking for guidance.

“The one thing I remember I told them, and I wanted to share with the world, is to be like Joseph,” he continued. “Joseph in the Bible, his own family bullied him, his own family threw him in the ditch, his own family left him for dead, and he never turned to be bitter like them. He never once in his life blames his brothers or said he had to get paid back. So my message even from this movie is take a page out of Joseph’s life.”

“Life isn’t about being perfect. Life isn’t about being fair, but it’s about you always doing what’s right. And trying to be the best version of yourself,” Miller added.

Both Miller and co-star Williams agreed that choosing not to respond in anger is easier said than done.

“It’s definitely not about perfection, but trying to do the right thing,” Williams said. “But I know I haven’t been perfect in all of my responses. There are times where anger has gotten the best of you or anxiety but it’s something I always have learned from, especially getting older because now you shouldn’t blame anger anymore.”
