Episode Six of THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER on Amazon Prime kicks things up a few notches with the big battle between the Orc army, led by an elf corrupted and deformed by the saga’s imprisoned fallen angel, Morgoth, and the humans in the Southlands of Middle Earth. After a lackluster Episode Five, Episode Six gives viewers a true mythical epic, with lots of jeopardy and a strong moral, redemptive worldview that includes a reference to The One, the Elvish name for God, who created Middle Earth and the universe, but the episode has lots of intense battle violence with some blood.
As the episode opens, the humans of the Southlands are getting ready to defend their tower castle from the Orc army led by Adar, who’s one of the immortal elves corrupted and deformed by the demonic fallen angel Morgoth centuries ago. Meanwhile, the ships from Númenor bearing 500 troops are reaching the western shores of Middle Earth. Once there, they will ride over the mountains and into the valley of the Southlands.
It turns out the humans have some surprises in store for Adar and his Orc army, but Adar has a couple tricks up his sleeve. An exciting battle with lots of jeopardy ensues.
