Christian Singer Sheila Walsh to Join TBN: ‘To Share the Gospel Around the World’

Christian recording artist and author Sheila Walsh recently announced that she and her husband, Barry, are joining TBN, the largest Christian broadcasting network in the country.

Sheila took to Facebook to share the exciting news, and the time of prayer that led to their decision.

“As many of you know, every year, Barry and I ask God for clear guidance for the year ahead,” she wrote in a Facebook post. “This past year, we both felt led to specifically dedicate the next 10 years afresh to God for whatever He would have in our future. We felt a change was coming, but we weren’t certain what that change would be. As the months passed, we kept praying.”

“One day, Matt and Laurie Crouch, who have been great friends of ours for years, talked to me about joining their television ministry team and the TBN Network,” she added. “Matt and Laurie head up this amazing international ministry. I have known Matt for over 30 years as he produced my very first US music video, and his wife Laurie is one of the sweetest, Jesus-loving people I’ve ever known. It seemed like we came full circle.”

Sheila, 66, said that both her and Barry knew that God called them to pour into the ministry work of TBN.

“This network is America’s most-watched faith and family channel, and it reaches a potential audience of 2 billion viewers 24 hours each day,” she said. “Matt and Laurie asked how I would feel about hosting some of the new programming as well as being a part of new ways to share the Gospel around the world. Barry and I both knew that this was the change that God had been stirring in our hearts.”

She continued: “I will be co-hosting with Laurie and friends the new hour-long women’s talk program Better Together, airing weekdays at 1:30p ET. No topics are off limits. It’s a show by women for women. And I will also be co-hosting the TBN flagship talk show Praise along with Matt and Laurie, and others featuring the best in Christian worship and music, as well as engaging interviews from the most inspiring talk guests today. Praise airs Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8p & 11p ET.”

Previously, Sheila worked with Life Outreach International with James and Betty Robison.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with James and Betty Robison and their son Randy for almost seven years. I am eternally grateful to them for bringing me into their family and will enjoy popping in to say hello in the months and years ahead,” she said.

“I can’t wait for you to join me on TBN,” she told fans. “So excited about the future! God is good. And He is for you.”
