Paramount+ Renews Patriotic SEAL TEAM for Seventh Season
By Movieguide® Contributor
Paramount+ recently announced that SEAL TEAM will return for its seventh season exclusively on the streaming platform.
“We look forward to bringing SEAL TEAM fans even more of the series’ poignant storylines and thrilling missions with the upcoming seventh season,” Paramount Streaming chief programming officer Tanya Giles said.
“The series continues to evolve and grow its audience. It is a great example of the types of programming that we see resonate with our subscribers,” she added.
Movieguide® nominated SEAL TEAM episode 3:15: RULES OF ENGAGEMENT for the 2021 Faith & Freedom Award® For Television and Streaming, and the review shares insights into the show’s positive, patriotic themes:
‘Rules of Engagement’ is a dramatic, thrilling, patriotic SEAL TEAM episode. It honors the service and sacrifice American soldiers make while serving their country and making the world a safer place. The episode opposes the chaos and evil that bad groups like Radical Muslim Terrorists, Russia and Communist China spread overseas. ‘Rules of Engagement’ contains brief foul language and lots of action violence during the battle at the dam in Niger. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for older children for this SEAL TEAM episode.”
David Boreanaz, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks and Raffi Barsoumian will star in the seventh season. Spencer Hudnut and Christopher Chulack will executive produce along with Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Mark Owen and Boreanaz.
This will be the third installment exclusive to Paramount+ after the series ran for four seasons on CBS before moving to the streaming platform in fall 2021.
In February 2022, Paramount+ announced a stand-alone SEAL TEAM movie with the show’s current star Boreanaz and executive producers Hudnut and Chulack. However, the movie isn’t in active development.
