Tim Tebow on Following God: ‘Life Is Trusting The Plan Maker’
By Movieguide® Contributor
In a recent Instagram video, football star Tim Tebow reminded his followers to trust God, even in tough situations.
“I’m reminded of Joseph’s story. When he’s 17 years old, he’s betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, and Joseph has to have these thoughts of, like, ‘God, what are you doing?’” Tebow said in the clip. “But over, and over, and over again, in Joseph’s story, there is a theme: He trusts God.”
He continued, “God knew what his story was going to be. Joseph didn’t. God knew 13 years later, he was going to be second in command of Egypt. Joseph didn’t.”
“I hope that if I had to go through something like that, that I would be willing to trust God,” Tebow shared. “I hope I would be willing to say, ‘God, I can’t see the full picture, but you can.’”
He finished the video by reminding his viewers, “Living a mission possible life is trusting the plan maker.”
The caption of the video continued that message: “You can’t see the full picture, but God can. Do it all for the glory of God. Even when it’s not easy. Even when it’s not fun.”
Tebow frequently shares messages of faith with his social media followers. Movieguide® previously reported:
In a new social media post, football star Tim Tebow reminded people that their main audience should always be God.
“Growing up, I always wanted people to like me,” Tebow wrote. “I was what you would call a people pleaser. Today, while I still strive to do good things for others as we all should, I’ve come to realize that our main audience in life isn’t other people. It’s God.
“Be motivated not by what other people think about you but by what God thinks about you!” he concluded.
