Due to a mystery illness, Jamie Foxx, the star and co-producer of THEY CLONED TYRONE, did not appear at the movie’s premiere at the American Black Film Festival in Miami, Florida.

“I’ve been calling, I’m just going to keep on calling. He better pick up. Come on, Jamie!” John Boyega, one of Foxx’s co-stars, said at the premiere. Boyega tried to reach out to him, but Foxx did not return his calls.

“It’s about to go down. #TheyClonedTyrone coming July 21, only on @netflix,” Foxx posted on Instagram the day of the premier. Many of his followers ignored the post’s content and left comments expressing concern for his health.

“How are we feeling ?” rapper Gashi asks, and internet personality Jazzie Belle comments, “Still praying for you Jamie??Still?.”

Due to Foxx’s illness, Nick Cannon took over Foxx’s spot as the main host of the game show BEAT SHAZAM.

“I believe when he’s ready, he’s going to address the awaiting fans in the world [about his health scare] the way that only he can,” says Cannon.

Movieguide® reported on June 7 that Jamie Foxx is learning how to walk again:

“Since his health scare on April 11, Jamie Foxx has had to undergo intense physiotherapy to learn how to walk again.

A source told RadarOnline.com, “Jamie is receiving treatment at one of the top physical rehabilitation centers in the country.”

“The clinic specializes in physical therapy programs to treat injuries or a physical condition that limits or prohibits the ability to walk or walk correctly,” the source added.

The source concluded, “They teach people how to walk again at this particular clinic. Jamie would not be at this clinic if he was not impaired in some way as a result of whatever happened to him. But fans should rest assured: Jamie is in the best of care at this type of clinic.”

Although the diagnosis of Foxx’s health crisis remains unknown, the clinic specializes in stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries.”
