THE CHOSEN Reaches 3000 Orphans in Madagascar

THE CHOSEN TV series shared a video on Instagram of 3,000 orphans in Madagascar watching the show in their language.

The account wrote, “We need you to understand how beautiful this is. Madagascar has never had an American TV show dubbed in their language. Heck, 75% of the country has no electricity and hasn’t even seen a movie or TV show.

“But the President there wants #TheChosen seen by his country, and so Season One has been dubbed and will be playing on national television,” the caption continued.

In episode three of THE CHOSEN Jesus meets two orphans, Abigail and Joshua. The two kids were so moved by Jesus because “he, like them, brushes his teeth in the river, makes his own food, and carves wood.”

“You’ll see in this video, particularly at the end, something that is wrecking all of us: words we wrote, performances we captured, and a scene we filmed, because of contributions by you, made 3,000 orphans laugh,” the caption concluded.

Angel Studios has worked on dubbing as many languages as possible for the show.

The studio wrote on its website, “Currently, Seasons One and Two of The Chosen are available in over 70 translated languages–everything from Arabic to Zulu. Dubbed audio is available in 20 languages. Of those 20: 17 are completed for Season 1. 11 are live in the Angel Studios app, 1 is in production. 8 are completed for Season 2. 7 are live in the Angel Studios app, 1 is in production. Subtitles are available in over 70 languages. About 60 of those are live in the Angel Studios and The Chosen app.”
