Sadie Robertson Huff Reminds Followers Their Goals ‘Matter to God’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Wife, mother and speaker Sadie Robertson Huff recently took to Instagram to encourage her followers to keep pursuing the goals God has given them despite the setbacks they face.
Huff illustrated this through her frustrating day of “almost.”
She wrote, “Yesterday was a day full of ‘almost.’ Kind of like how Havens bow, almost matches in this picture.”
She then described her chaotic day.
“It started out at a coffee shop where I ordered a matcha…and got a chai… almost!” Huff shared in the caption. “Then on to the kids playground that closed at 12 on Fridays but we got there at 12:30… almost!”
By the end of the day and many “almost” moments later, Huff shared that “each ‘almost’ was frustrating.”
“It’s frustrating to feel like you’re just right there, so close to getting what, or where you set out to be, but you came up with just an ‘almost.’”
“Some of you might ‘almost’ be done with school, you might have ‘almost’ gotten the job, you ‘almost’ made the team, you ‘almost’ got accepted…but it just didn’t happen yesterday and it’s just not happening today,” she shared.
“But I want to encourage you that just because yesterday was a day of almost, doesn’t mean that today’s not a day to keep working towards the goals set in your heart,” Huff continued.
“You’re feeling the frustrations of the almost, because what you almost have is most likely something you deeply desire,” she added. “Those desires don’t just matter to you, but they matter to God too!”
“I’m obviously not talking about my matcha anymore! I’m talking about the things that you’re working towards that will help you become all that you are!”
“Keep showing up even if the doors are locked, because one day, I bet you, they will be wide open, or it will be another door that you didn’t even see before, and you’ll be more than ready to walk in,” the influencer encouraged her followers.
Movieguide® recently reported on Huff:
“Filling up the love tank!” she captioned the video, which shows her sitting next to Honey, holding daughter Haven, who was born in May.
In the clip, Huff lists off what she loves about Honey, including her intelligence, her strength, and how silly and sweet she is. Honey smiles and laughs along with Huff as the pair talk.
“Every time i start to tell Honey what i love about her she crosses her arms and gets ready to receive,” Huff wrote under the video. “It’s so sweet that she starts to say the next thing before i get to it because she knows that’s who she is! she’s heard me speak it before over her and she’s confident to claim it.”
She continued, “Not being able to pick up Honey has by far been the hardest thing of this postpartum season, but thank God for words and the power and love they can carry!”
