Jenny Marrs Shares Glimpses of God’s Glory: ‘Absolute Awe’

In a recent Instagram video, HGTV star Jenny Marrs shared an account of her family’s inspiring trip to Carrara, Italy’s famous marble quarries, where they experienced God’s glory in creation.
“The drive to the marble quarry was harrowing,” her caption began. “I was pretty terrified as we zig-zagged up the narrow roads with the edge of a cliff at our side. Several times, we had to stop quickly to avoid an oncoming vehicle coming straight at us. With very little wiggle room, Dave would maneuver our large van as tightly against the rock face as possible, allowing the other car (or large truck) to squeeze past.”
Marrs added that it was raining, and her husband, Dave, said the car’s tires were “slipping a little as though they’re going bald.”
“Enter: full-blown-panic mode on my behalf,” she continued. “My babies were in the car and this drive suddenly seemed like an absolutely terrible idea. Yet, there was no where [sic] to turn around. We had to keep going.”
The family arrived at the top of the mountain without incident, where they “looked around in absolute awe.”
Her video shows beautiful views of the marble mined at the quarry and the mountains surrounding them.
“Our God is the absolute best creator and this world He made for us truly is breathtaking,” Marrs wrote. “Why would He go all out and create a place like this? Why would He hide marble in the cliff side to be discovered by an artist named Michelangelo hundreds of years ago?”
She continued, “I think it was all for love. Because, He knew there would be the ones who would see this magnificently beautiful place and the exquisite materials within and they would go on to create more beauty. And, that beauty would be deeply appreciated and it would all point back to the One who made it all. Our good, His glory.”
The Marrs family is currently in Italy for a spin-off of their popular HGTV show called FIXER TO FABULOUS: ITALIANO.

Marrs also spoke about FIXER TO FABULOUS: ITALIANO with Closer, revealing they’ll be working on a friend’s home.
“Our family and their family are very close, and we’ve known them for many, many, many years and it’s going to be a really fun, creatively challenging experience,” she shared.

Jenny and Dave Marrs, stars of the hit HGTV series FIXER TO FABULOUS recently reflected on a trip to Italy and hinted at an exciting new project.
“We are about to start a dream project in a dream place. Yes, we are likely in over our heads with sooooo much to learn and so many what-if’s looming and doubts surfacing and questions mounting. But, we are in this together and know exactly who is at the helm,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
“My prayer for this one has been: Lord, let this project be a blessing and not a burden. Most importantly, allow us to be beacons of your light in the land you long ago burrowed in our hearts,” she added.
