Influencers Share How ‘Faith Got Us Through Raising Kids’

Minister and online personality Shawn Bolz sat down with financial influencer Ryan Pineda and wife Mindy to learn why they make their kids feel important and how faith helped them in their difficult journey as parents.

“I always want to just showcase my faith, you know, Mindy, my business, my kids, just every aspect that you know makes me me, and kids are a huge part,” Ryan said.

The couple shares three children, James, Judah and Olivia—all under 5 years old.

A successful real estate entrepreneur, Ryan shares financial advice through books, social media and YouTube. He wants to be authentic in real life and on social media. This is why he shares what goes on in his and his kids’ lives.

Ryan and Mindy also want their children to feel celebrated. They share everything, from their youngest son’s birth to the comical things that their daughter does. Their roles as a mom and dad aren’t always easy, and they’ve heavily relied on God throughout their parenting journey.

“Faith has got us through raising kids,” the couple shared.

“I think when you become a parent, you are just instantly filled with worry, anxiety and fear, and you’re kind of like, you want to keep them safe, both physically and mentally. And you just have all of these worries that come into your mind about when they get older,” Mindy said.

“I know for us faith has just…alleviated so much worry that I think I would have without leaning on the Lord and without trusting and knowing that God’s going to take care of my kids,” she added.

Ryan shared that the first stages of their eldest son’s life were incredibly difficult. On two different occasions, the Penidas didn’t know whether their son James would live or die. James came two months before his due date and spent months in the NICU in a fragile state. Then, when he was one year old, he had a brain bleed after he bumped his head.

“God, I’d give up everything to make sure that he is okay,” Ryan prayed while James underwent brain surgery. James survived the injury and is now an active, “happy boy.”

The couple also shared that their family prays together every night, and their 3-year-old daughter wakes up early with Ryan and watches him read the Bible every morning.

Ryan encourages his followers to turn to God for strength.

“Every morning pray that God would give me the strength to accomplish all my tasks for the day. I also pray that he would give me joy and peace while I do them,” he wrote on X.

So instead of thinking you need to find strength on your own, turn to God and see what happens,” he added.

Movieguide® recently reported on actor Chad Michael Murray’s similar family values:

Speaking to Page Six, Murray said, “We pray at every meal. That’s one of the foundations of teaching a good moral compass in our children. Having the fear of God is vital because, to be honest, what do you have to lose if you have no fear of that. If you have no fear of God it would be chaos here.

“We read the Bible, I start the day reading a chapter,” the LEFT BEHIND actor continued. “We teach the kids about Jesus and who Jesus was and the story and we do church on Sundays.”
