Danica McKellar Shares Behind-The-Scenes Details From GAF Christmas Movie

In a recent video, Great American Family actress Danica McKellar shared some behind-the-scenes footage from the set of her upcoming Christmas movie A ROYAL CHRISTMAS ROMANCE.
“Hello Great American Community. So, I’m here on the set of my Christmas movie for Great American Family. Just want to share a few fun things from set today,” she began.
She and her co-star Damon Runyan reveal that the movie was actually shot during the summer, despite the Christmas backdrop.
McKellar shares, “They’ve been snowing it up quite a bit today. In our different location, we are shooting outside all day, so it’s always a winter wonderland.”
In the video, fans can see a man holding a giant hose and spraying a white flocking substance all over the trees to make it look like it’s been snowing.
“Today we are shooting with a horse named Shadow,” she adds as a beautiful gray horse stands in the background. “He is just so beautiful.”
The actress ends the video by saying, “Hope you enjoyed those snippets, and I cannot wait to share this movie with you this Christmas season on Great American Family.”
This movie, however, wasn’t what McKellar originally had planned for this Christmas.

“I wanted to talk to you about my Christmas movie this year that will be airing Christmas season 2023,” she said. “I was originally going to be doing a movie called ROYAL CHRISTMAS BALL. This is a movie that I wrote the story for and it involves a couple of elaborate waltz routines and I am very excited about it. It’s an awesome story…”
“Well, I finished doing SWING INTO ROMANCE, which is my fall-time movie, my Autumn Harvest movie, and, talk about dance, that one has a ton of dance in it, and it’s swing, jive, like really energetic,” she continued. “And waltz movies, like these big dance movies, they take a lot more preparation, so we ran out of time…[for ROYAL CHRISTMAS BALL].”
“So, there’s another Christmas movie. It’s awesome, and we’re getting into prep for it now,” McKellar explained. “I just wanted you guys to know about this just so you have the inside track, being a part of Great American Community, that ROYAL CHRISTMAS BALL will not be my Great American Christmas movie this year.”
In her new movie, McKellar stars as Bella Sparks, who finds romance in an unexpected place.
Parade reported, “In A ROYAL CHRISTMAS ROMANCE, Bella Sparks (McKellar), owner of Bella Sparks Couture, takes on a demanding new client named Stefan (Damon Runyan) who needs to be outfitted for a week of high stakes meetings and events after his luggage goes missing. Imagine Bella’s reaction when she accidentally discovers Stefan is actually Stefan William Francis Brown, the Duke of Tangford… And although the Duke has been recently hurt and Bella doesn’t believe Prince Charmings exist, throughout the week they find ways to heal each other and find a fairytale romance against the backdrop of Christmas.”
A ROYAL CHRISTMAS ROMANCE is set to release this Thanksgiving weekend on Great American Family.
