TWILIGHT Star Kellan Lutz Declares ‘Faith Is Everything’

By Movieguide® Contributor

TWILIGHT star Kellan Lutz relies on faith to get him through life’s hardest moments.

“My faith is everything,” he told Fox News. “I don’t know how people who don’t believe in something can have hope in anything.”

His faith helped him and wife Brittany as they mourned the loss of a daughter six months into the pregnancy.

“It still is hard when the dates come around, but I know in my heart that she’s up in heaven,” Lutz said. “We named her, and I can’t wait to see her. So that’s the hope. We’re here on Earth for a finite period of time. And up there, I’m going to be so joyful and so down here, I can be joy-filled knowing that. And that’s what keeps us going.”

Movieguide® previously reported on the couple’s loss:

“God will restore,” affirmed actor Kellen Lutz (THE TWILIGHT SAGA) after he and his wife, Brittany, shared that their daughter died in utero after six months in the womb.

“Just know we love you all and appreciate you all and we process all differently,” the actor posted to Instagram. “Can’t wait to see our baby girl in Heaven when God calls us home.”

The pair appear to be relying heavily on their Christian faith during this unimaginable season of grief.

“Taking heartbrokenness to a whole new level but Grateful for these past 6 months and the journey itself,” Kellan said. “In life we might not get the answers to all of our questions but we will always remain faithful!”

Lutz and his wife wed in 2017 and share two children, Ashtyn, 2, and Kasen, 15 months.

“We’re always growing,” the actor said of their marriage. “There’s always a new season of life. [Marriage] is a lot of work. I think the older you get, the more selfish you are and the more used to your ways. And my wife is amazing — she’s made me such a better man.”

Lutz’s family is his first priority. He left CBS’ FBI: MOST WANTED — which was filmed in New York — after two seasons to be closer to the couple’s extended family in Nashville.

“I’m a family man, and I want my daughter to have the most amazing memories with the family, especially the older ones, while they’re still alive,” Lutz explained. “I know I’ll always work and God will provide. And he has.”
