Demi Moore Reveals Advice for Daughters Amid Bruce Willis’ Dementia Battle
By Movieguide® Contributor
Following ex-husband Bruce Willis’s dementia diagnosis, actress Demi Moore is sharing advice with her daughters on the best way to love him through his health battle.
“I think given the circumstances, he’s doing very well,” Moore said in an update on GOOD MORNING AMERICA.
“What I’ll share is what I say to my children, which is, it’s important to just meet them where they’re at and not hold on to what isn’t, but what is,” she shared. “Because there’s great beauty and sweetness and loving and joy out of that.”

Movieguide® previously reported:
Bruce Willis’ family updated his fans on his health, sharing that his condition “has progressed” from aphasia, and the actor has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
“Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis,” Willis’ ex-wife, actress Demi Moore, wrote on Instagram. “In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.”
She continued, “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”
The couple shares three adult daughters: Rumer Glenn Willis, 35, Scout LaRue Willis, 32, and Tallulah Belle, 29.
In November, Tallulah shared about her relationship with her dad on THE DREW BARRYMORE SHOW.
“He is the same, which I think in this regard I’ve learned is the best thing you can ask for,” Tallulah said. “I see love when I’m with him, and it’s my dad, and he loves me, which is really special.”
On Father’s Day 2023, Moore shared a sweet photo of her young daughters with Bruce. She said, “Forever grateful to you BW for giving me these three beautiful girls. We love our #girldad. Happy Father’s Day!
