Paramount Announces PAW PATROL 3, TMNT Sequel Release Dates

By Movieguide® Contributor

Paramount recently revealed when audiences can expect sequels to PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE and TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM.

After its recent success with the second movie in the series, PAW PATROL 3 is scheduled to hit theaters July 31, 2026. “It’ll be a Spin Master Entertainment production with Nickelodeon Movies, and it will be distributed by Paramount Pictures,” Yahoo reported.

Movieguide® said:

PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE is a fun, action-packed movie for all ages. It has a strong moral worldview stressing sharing, selfless acts, courage, and the importance of family. It does have some scenes of cartoon action and peril, along with a scene about an orphaned pup that could bother younger viewers. Ultimately, THE MIGHTY MOVIE succeeds in showing that real power comes from sharing, loving one another and family.

The movie was rated +2 for content for “moderately questionable elements,” and thanks to its family-friendly values, the film was a huge hit.

“Paramount’s animated sequel PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE topped the box office in its debut, earning a solid $23 million from 3,989 North American locations over the weekend,” Variety reported in October.

Another release date announced is the sequel to last year’s TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM. The sequel is set to release Oct. 9, 2026.

Comic Book Movie said, “Director Jeff Rowe is expected to return, and it’s assumed that the voice actors for the four Turtles and April O’Neil – Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon and Ayo Edebiri – will also reprise their respective roles.”

Yahoo shared a synopsis of the most recent TMNT movie:

MUTANT MAYHEM follows ‘the Turtle brothers as they work to earn the love of New York City while facing down an army of mutants.’ After years of hiding in the sewers, the turtles will finally venture outside in an attempt to prove their worth and find their place in the world. However, what they actually encounter is a crime syndicate and more mutants than they can shake a broken canister of ooze at.

It earned a -1 from Movieguide®, and part of the review reads:

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM tells a rousing, funny story, with a unique animated look. The characters sometimes talk over one another too much, however. MUTANT MAYHEM has a strong morally uplifting worldview. The stepfather of the four turtles has a strong fatherly concern for them and their wellbeing. The movie also promotes doing the right thing. MUTANT MAYHEM has some intense violence, scary creatures and foul language. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for older children.
