Carlos PenaVega Grateful for Marriage as He Solo Parents: ‘A Beautiful Thing’

Actor and singer Carlos PenaVega is watching the kids while his wife Alexa is at the hospital.
“Life for the last 5 days!!!!” he captioned a set of photos with himself, sons Ocean, 6, Kinston, 4, and daughter Rio, 2. “I’ve Always had respect for solo parents…it’s really next level!! lol Can’t wait for Alexa to be back home.”
“Marriage is such a beautiful thing,” he said. “Lex are are truly my teammate. Never appreciated being able to tap out for 5 mins to take a phone more than ever!! Favorite part has been our nightly cuddles. They all went to sleep in daddy’s bed lol 🤣 dadlife #ivegotthis 🤙”
Some of the pictures show the kids in a group hug, sitting together on a chair, coloring together, doing silly poses, eating pizza and sleeping on a large bed.
“Super daddy!!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥” Alexa commented on the post.
Movieguide® recently reported on Alexa’s pregnancy after she had a miscarriage scare due to a tear:
“I am just feeling so much better in this pregnancy now,” she said in an Instagram video.
“Praise the Lord, we are out of that season, and I hope that season never comes back, because it was awful,” she said. “My tear has healed completely.”
The couple had just moved to Tennessee when Alexa experienced another pregnancy scare.
She shared this week that she had a lot of blood come out when she got up to use the restroom one morning. She called Carlos to go to the hospital. And she realized the baby hadn’t moved in a while, even though the baby usually moves constantly. But she prayed over her belly, and the baby moved again.
Now, she has been at the hospital for almost a week. The doctors determined that her placenta partially detached from her uterus, and they’ll need to wait to see if her pregnancy will stay stable. The best-case scenario would be that she “takes it easy” at home.
Alexa is thankful that God timed their move to Tennessee perfectly. Otherwise, she could have been out at sea on their boat without medical help.
She said, “Thank God we were here, that I’m getting the care that I’m getting.”
The PenaVegas previously shared a video of the family dancing in their new house in Tennessee. They said:
Ok.. SO.. we’ve been a little MIA for the last 2 months. Here’s what’s up: 2 days before New Year’s Eve we both (separately) felt God calling us to take a trip to Tennessee. Had no idea why. It was 8 o’clock at night and we decided to take a leap of faith. We loaded the kids into the car and drove 12 hours. As God would have it, some friends of ours who moved from Maui were living there and their parents house just happened to be available last minute. We were welcomed with open arms and a gorgeous place to stay.
We spent the week exploring and one by one the pieces started to fall in place easier than ever. What was happening? We were so confused. We can’t just move to Tennessee! We had just spent the last 2 years living on and fixing this boat for our family to sail the world. But believe or not every time we were ready to leave the dock, something would break. We were still so determined to take our adventure, but yet now we felt such a strange pull to move inland to Tennessee. Well.. here we are, two months later. The boat is about to be listed for sale and we are in a house, with no furniture and honestly no real idea why God has us here.
We’ve had a few pregnancy scares since we’ve been here and I am so grateful with Gods timing on getting us off the boat and into a home. To be honest, He pulled us out of our comfort zone and now more than ever we have to trust and rely on him with everything….BUT, even in the confusion and with so many questions… we cannot wait for this new season with our growing familia. The peace and confirmation we receive daily has been unlike anything we have ever felt before. SO… If God is calling you to something…RUN don’t walk! Nothing like leaping right into what God has waiting for you
