Social media influencer Emily Vondy often creates songs about the joys and peculiarities of motherhood, but in her latest, she praises God.

“When I’m spent, and in a moment, I’m filled with wonder cause You tip my chin and call me upward, and I’m fully known,” Vondy sings in an Instagram video. “I’m seen. I’m heard. ‘Cause when You speak, I’m brought to tears. Embraced in peace. Released of fears. My strength renewed. With joy, I’ll sing because I’m healed. Worshiping You, my King. Worshiping You, my King. Never stop speaking. I pray I never stop listening.”

“Sometimes the business and stressors of life cause me to stop listening,” she wrote in the caption. “Yet Christ still beckons me. Not harsh or stern, but compassionately. Forever luring me upward. And if I pause enough to listen, all is well with my soul once again.”

Many of Vondy’s followers thanked her for the song and for giving glory to God.

“I love every song you make. But when you sing to The Savior, it just hits different ??❤️❤️??,” one follower commented.

Fellow influencer Lindsey Gurk said, “Yes my girl ? always a gentle, kind, compassionate whisper reminding us to slow down and focus on HIM. LOVE THIS EMILY ❤️.”

Vondy’s song even touched a follower who doesn’t know Jesus. “I’m not religious in any shape or form, but hearing this brought tears to my eyes and warmed my heart so much ? thank you for that,” the fan wrote.

Along with her faith, Vondy talks about motherhood. After her kids had a snow day last month, she reflected on the fun memories they made together.

“One of my favorite parts about parenting is being able to relive the joy of your own childhood through the excitement of your own kids,” she said.

“I think that the reason I went so far past my due date was because — I talked a little about this during [the pregnancy],” Vondy said in an Instagram story. “I talked about how God was really just teaching me something new every day I went past my due date. Really just keeping me in this…just holding me during that time.

She explained that she felt “very loved and supported and at peace” during that time, adding, “it really kind of made my faith a lot stronger.”

“I just felt so close and connected to my Heavenly Father in the days going past my due date,” Vondy explained. “I think He’s preparing me for how hard this postpartum is. Each postpartum has been a little different, but I would rank this one up here as one of the hardest.”
