Sadie Robertson Huff Encourages Fans to ‘Rebrand’ Difficult Situations
By Movieguide® Contributor
Sadie Robertson Huff recently took to Instagram to encourage her followers to “rebrand” the difficult moments of life.
“Let me tell y’all a funny story with a good life lesson…” she captioned a post of her holding one of her daughters.
“Today, as we were walking out from lunch I dropped my large matcha on the floor? not only did I drop my full large matcha on the floor, but Honey walked right into it and did a movie worthy slip in the green matcha. she immediately starts crying, rightfully so,” the DUCK DYNASTY alum wrote.
Honey is Huff’s almost 3-year-old daughter whom she shares with husband Christian Huff.
“As I helped her up I said ‘Honey, YOU ARE GREEN LIKE SHREK’ she paused the crying, looked down and started dying laughing. for the rest of the day she has talked about slipping on ‘moms latte and looking like shrek’ and she did it with a smile.”
“I call this rebranding,” Huff explained.
“Sometimes in life – you can’t change what has been done, but you can change your perspective on it,” she added.
Huff ended her message by sharing 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, reminding her followers about how fleeting the hard times are and how God has good, eternal things planned for us.
”So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.”
Huff is passionate about living a life that honors God and sharing her experiences with others. Earlier this year, she spoke about her fight against anxiety.
“I used to live in this kind of extreme anxiety. I would not show up to things because I was too anxious to do so. I was living at the boiling point – just constantly letting all of my anxiety’s stay in my mind until eventually I was crippled by it,” she shared. However, “Gods word says that He didn’t give us a spirit of fear BUT one of power, love and a sound mind! It also says He gives PEACE that surpasses ALL understanding.”
Movieguide® previously reported on her speaking about staying rooted in God’s love:
Sadie Robertson Huff and her husband Christian recently talked about their new book, “How to Put Love First,” sharing how putting God first allows us to love others well.
“When God is first in our life, when love is put first, then all of our relationships are so blessed,” Sadie told TBN. “By that, I mean the overflow of relationship with the Lord blesses every relationship in your life, whether that’s with your spouse, with your parents, with your family, with your friends…”
“When you’re truly anchored in love and who God is,” Sadie said. “And you have the overflow of who He is in your life, [and] you have His grace, you have His love, you have His joy to give joy, I mean it really is the best way to live your life.”
