Hulk Hogan Says He’s a ‘Meat Suit Filled With the Spirit of Christ’

Former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, recently opened up about how his faith impacts his life.
Putting one’s faith in Christ “just seems like such an easy choice for everyone, if you’ll just surrender and accept him as your Savior,” Hogan said on CBN’s 700 CLUB.
Hogan recognizes that any impact he has on others is simply by God’s work in him.
“That God presence in us, you know, that still small voice. What Terry brings to the table is a meat suit…a meat suit filled with the Spirit of Christ, and it’s a testing ground for me,” he explained.
Church Leaders reported that Hogan became a Christian at age 14 but “derailed” before finding his way back to God.
“[Christ] has given me the opportunity to prove that I’m faithful, and I’ll never make those same mistakes again,” said Hogan. “Going back to my faith, the momentum was overwhelming. There was nothing stopping me.”
His testimony encouraged his long-time rival, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, to give his life to Christ shortly before he died in 2015.
“We basically had some conversations and…he started asking me about my spirituality,” Hogan said of their text conversations. “[Piper] really didn’t connect, but he was very curious. He wouldn’t surrender, and all of a sudden he passes away.”
Then the unexpected happened. Two days later, the former wrestler got a text-to-voice message from Piper that said, “I’m just loving you, my brother. I’m just walking with Jesus. Walking with Jesus and loving you, my brother.”
Hogan was baptized late last year. Movieguide® reported:
Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan and his wife Sky were recently baptized.
“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life,” he wrote under a video of the couple being baptized. “No worries, no hate, no judgment…only love!”
Since going public about his commitment to Christ, Hogan is using his social media to discuss his faith.
“Had an opportunity to sit with these 2 amazing Brothers of mine to talk about the John 3:16 Devotional Team and the @boxesofhopefc,” a post from Mel Chancey that included Hogan read. “Jake Rask on the left and Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan) on the right. I am super grateful 4 these two Men and their passion to help feed the Children at Boxes of Hope.”
The post included John 21:16 which says, “Again Jesus said, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ He answered, ‘Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.’ Jesus said, ‘Take care of my sheep.'”
“We are Blessed to do just that!! Happy and Blessed Monday my friends. The Blessings we receive we share with others,” the post concluded.
