Gospel Singer Naomi Raine Reminds Fans God Has a Plan: ‘It’s Not Over’

Grammy-award winner Naomi Raine joined TBN to discuss how she trusts the Lord even when she doesn’t feel like it or understand his plan.

“Sometimes, I felt like it was easier to just…vent and let go, and the Lord’s been saying recently, like, ‘This is holding you up,'” Raine began. “‘So, even when I call you to do something, you’re not all in it, and you’re not even able to give to it what I’ve called you to give. And so what could have taken 10 days is taking 20,’ and I’m just like stop it. Be quiet, and let your mouth match, you know, what you say you believe.”

Raine then talked about how it can be difficult to obey God.

“We always say it’s not supposed to be this hard or it shouldn’t be, you know, it shouldn’t be this difficult, and sometimes it just is,” the singer explained. “The intimacy that we have with the Lord, the Holy Spirit, to be able to go back and ask at every turn, ‘Has the call changed? Are you still saying this?'”

She continued: “I think about a couple of my friends, you know, there are times where we have to ask each other like, ‘Well, what did God say?’ It’s like even though right now I’m…going the other way because, well, what did God say? And sadly sometimes people have forgotten what the Lord has even said, why you’re even in this place. Sometimes you can be on a road trip and get so off on the side that you forget where you’re actually going. If your journey doesn’t make sense yet, it’s not over.”

Raine frequently speaks about her faith on social media. In a recent post, she encouraged her followers to see themselves as God does.

“Our beauty runs way deeper than what’s on the outside. It’s about the kindness in your smile, the warmth in your heart, and the strength of your spirit,” she wrote. “Your worth isn’t measured by social media standards—it’s about the God in you, the love you give, and the way you light up the world from within.”

On National Day of Prayer, she prayed that those who haven’t found salvation through Jesus would.

“Father, I pray for every lost soul, and every person searching for their place in the world. In all their searching, may they find You! In all their searching may they find The Way, The Truth, The Life. May they find Jesus. Amen,” she wrote on Instagram.

Movieguide® recently reported on Raine:

Grammy-winning gospel singer Naomi Raine is emphasizing the importance of remembering God’s purpose for us.

“Sometimes we get so focused on our purpose that we forget that our purpose should be a part of God’s greater purpose and His will,” she said in a recent TBN video. “Preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out the devils; this type of stuff.”

Raine continued, “I’m just trying to see, ‘Okay, Lord, in whatever I’m doing, how am I accomplishing this great commission that you’ve given us?’”
