More Detail:

“A Father’s Advice” is the first episode of the second season of NBC TV’s hit series THIS IS US. The triplets are celebrating their respective 37th birthdays. Randall has decided he wants to honor his fathers by adopting a baby, but Beth encourages him to consider fostering an older child instead. Kate tries out for a singing audition, but then gets nervous and leaves when she sees all the other singers are thinner than she is. After going out for dinner with Kevin and Toby, Kate pushes herself to return and go through with the audition. Toby and Kevin have a serious talk about Kevin needing to be closer to his sister, Kate. Jack and Rebecca work to reconcile while Jack admits he has an alcohol addiction.

“A Father’s Advice” demonstrates how love pushes through challenges and setbacks to strengthen relationships. The relationships between Beth and Randall, Toby and Kate, and Jack and Rebecca encourage a healthy, honest and restorative view of commitment and marriage. While the show is engaging, its content is mature in nature, with some foul language, so caution is advised.
