AGT Acrobatic Act Competes to Change Their Family’s Life

As the name Hakuna Matata Acrobats suggests, the four-man group will have “no worries” about making it to the AMERICA’S GOT TALENT finals after judge Sofia Vergara gave them the Live Show Golden Buzzer.
“This is definitely one of the most ambitious acts I’ve seen on AGT,” Vergara told the Tanzanian performers. “I mean, I can see the difference from the audition. You guys deserve to be here.”
This was the first time a Golden Buzzer was given during one of the live shows due to a new rule that allows each of the four judges one chance to advance an act straight to the finals via the Live Show Golden Buzzer.
Judge Simon Cowell also shared his praise for the group’s death-defying act, where all four acrobats balanced on a rolla bolla while balancing each other.
Cowell said, “This was one of the most difficult, dangerous acts we’ve seen on a live show. And I genuinely mean this: It felt to me like you’ve arrived.”
The acrobats have kept the audience and judges on the edge of their seats since their audition where all four judges gave enthusiastic “yeses.”
“This is even taking everything that you think is amazing, that you think that there’s no way to top it, and this just tops it,” judge Howie Mandel said.
Mohamedi Tadei, one of the acrobats, shared on the popular talent show about the determination behind their performances.
“This competition is not going to change only our lives, but it’s going to also change our family’s life,” Tadei told AGT.
He added, “What we do is not easy, a lot of sacrifice, a lot of falling.”
The Hakuna Matata Acrobats will be competing for the $1 million prize, along with nine other finalists. AGT’s 19th season finale round will take place on Sept. 17, with the winners being announced the following Tuesday.
Another AGT-winner-hopeful is singing act Richard Goodall, who will advance to the semifinals.

Richard Goodall, a janitor of 23 years in Indiana, possesses a special talent — one that earned him a Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum.
“Golden Buzzer [winners] are an elite group of people. I never in a million years expected to be in that class,” Goodall told PEOPLE. “And I still can’t believe Heidi did that!”
Despite his need to pay the bills through his janitorial work, Goodall has always loved to sing.
“I was that kid up in my bedroom with the Radio Shack stereo,” he explained. “My favorite thing was just to sit up and listen to my music, and I just belt it out. Eventually, I was like, I gotta find me a job. So I become [sic] a janitor at Chauncey Rose Middle School, which is only three blocks away from my house.”
“I’m not a fancy person. I take out the trash. I wipe off the tables, I sweep the floors. I’m just having fun and I’m trying to make people happy,” he continued. “The kids would hear me sing and they tell me that I’ve got talent. That’s why I’m here, that’s why I got on a plane.”
