Michael Bublé Collabs With Country Singer on Christmas Song for the Hurting

Singers Michael Bublé and Carly Pearce collaborated on a new Christmas song written for people who are hurting during the holiday season.
“Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them. This collab fell into place so seamlessly it feels like fate had a hand in it,” Bublé shared on Instagram about “Maybe This Christmas.” “We’re so proud of this song! We hope you love it as much as we do.”
“I have been a fan of @michaelbuble for such a long time, so I was SO excited when he called and asked me to be on this song with him,” Pearce added. “I don’t listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving, but for Michael Bublé and this moment I’ll make an exception.”
“I wrote this song for those who find the holidays a hard time.. a lonely time,” Bublé said of “Maybe This Christmas.” “Music has a way of healing and this one means a lot.”
Pearce certainly understands what it feels like to hurt during the holiday season. She previously shared that found her strength in the Lord during the lowest season of her life.
“You can say you have faith, you can say you believe in God, but until you feel completely uncomfortable, not knowing where to turn, at your lowest — that is where you have to decide to trust that God’s timing is right and that He will show you why you’re going through this,” Pearce told The Christian Post.
“He doesn’t walk us through anything that He’s not going to use for good, and I see now how some of the most horrific parts of my life are now being validated and redeemed for good to be helpful for other people,” she added.
Pearce found this perspective after being encouraged by both her mom and grandmother to turn to God with her hurt rather than wallow in her pain.
“My grandmother and my mom have both been really, really strong women that have taught me to look to God first and to trust in my faith,” Pearce said in 2017. “[They have also taught me] to work as hard as the boys. And I think that I have a little bit of that, we call it the ‘Pearce grit,’ of just knowing you can do it and be tough. Having that strong foundation of God and having the strong foundation my family [has] always taught me [to] go after it. You’ve got to be tough.”
