Don’t Miss This Christian Singer’s Message on ‘Transforming Power’ of Truth

Danny Gokey is sharing the importance of dividing truth from our own feelings.
“Do you believe in absolute truth? Or do you believe that truth is relative depending on how you feel in your experience of life?” the singer asked in a new Instagram video. “The quality of life depends on how you view truth.”
Gokey shared that God once told him, “Truth does not transform until it’s truth received.’”
“Truth has transforming power,” he explained. “Lies have transforming power. Jesus said, ‘If we submit to the truth, it will set us free.’”
Gokey continued, “A lot of time, truth gets convoluted because of how we feel, and this is why the Bible says we are not to lean on our own understanding. If you get too caught up in the reality of what you’re feeling and not the reality of what truth is, you can get yourself into a lot of trouble and a lot of hurt.”
“We need to submit to the truth because what God says is more powerful than what we feel and what we think,” he concluded.
In the video’s caption, Gokey wrote, “In John 8:32, Jesus said that the truth will set us free! There are certain truths that cannot be denied, no matter what you might think or feel. If you fight them, you will get hurt. If you accept them, you will experience freedom. What God says is bigger than anything we think or feel. Submit to Him, and watch how His power will work to transform your life!”

“One of the things I love most about @better_than_i_found_it is getting to watch God show up in His perfect timing and way, time and time again!” he wrote on Instagram. “It was so much fun to be joined by attendees of the ‘Livin’ la Vida Gokey’ Fan Weekend in serving Nashville organization @Cul2vateFarms, and then surprising them with the van God provided for their work to meet the needs of those in their area!”
He continued, “Not only does their farm help those in food insecurity, but also those coming out of incarceration. It’s an honor to support them in reaching their big goals and continuing to make a big impact in their community!”
Gokey also celebrated donations given to Better Than I Found It through Giving Tuesday.
“Because of the generosity of you, our donors, we were able to raise $12,000 during Giving Tuesday,” the singer said. “Every tax-deductible donation goes directly to the orphans, widows, single moms, elderly and more that Jesus has called us to love.”
