Everything We Know About Carrie Underwood’s Concert Movie

Country music star Carrie Underwood announced while co-hosting the NEW YEAR’S ROCKIN’ EVE show that she is releasing a concert movie on Hulu later this month.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: REFLECTION captures her Las Vegas residency concert which she has put on since December 2021. The special will be released on Hulu on Jan. 24.

“I feel like there was so much love and work and excitement that was poured into this show that, I feel like this will live in my mind, as, like one of the greatest shows we’ve ever put together, if not the greatest show we’ve put together,” Underwood told ABC News.

Billboard reported that the movie gives “fans a chance to see the three-time ACM entertainer of the year winner’s mix of spectacular performances, hit songs, aerialists, acrobats, theatrical production and flashy costumes all over again.”

While bringing the show to the homes of millions of Americans across the county, the special will also serve as a capstone to Underwood’s residency as she will perform her final “Reflection” show in April.

“I feel like it would’ve been a real shame if it just lived on in people’s memories,” Underwood said. “People can relive those moments and get to watch them and experience them and maybe see things they missed when they came out.”

“I love that my kids are gonna get to watch it someday when they’re a little bit older and be like, ‘Oh my gosh mom. I can’t believe you did that,’” Underwood continued. “I just love that it’s gonna get to live on.”

“[The special] will give audiences a front-row seat to the larger-than-life show Underwood has performed during her three-year plus run at Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas,” Hulu added in a statement about the concert.

The songlist for the concert includes Underwood’s greatest hits such as “Before He Cheats,” “Something in the Water,” “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” “Church Bells” and “Pink Champagne.” Though she has performed these songs countless times throughout the years, Underwood believes some of her best performances have come in Vegas as she has become accustomed to performing on the same stage night after night.

“We have done ‘Before He Cheats’ many times over the years, in many different ways, and just being in this static environment where we don’t have to pick up and move everything, it’s like, ‘Well, what is our wish list?’ And it’s like, ‘Let’s light something on fire,’” Underwood said.

“I always say that one of the things that I do love about singing country music is that we can cover so many different emotions and areas,” she added. “We can tell stories. We can sing about our faith. We can sing about our family. We can sing about drinking and cheating, ‘cause that just, it’s life. We have fun, we’re serious, we’re faithful, we sassy — all of it. And I love having those moments in the show.”
