DUCK DYNASTY Star Learned This Lesson About God Through Her Granddaughter

While on an adventure with her daughter and granddaughter, Korie Robertson reflected on the role of parents and how they need to trust God with their kids’ lives.
“This little girl is determined,” the DUCK DYNASTY star said in a Facebook post featuring a photo of her and her daughter Sadie Robertson Huff both holding hands with her granddaughter Haven. “She wants to ‘walk!’ It reminds me of @bellarobmayo at this age, full of confidence that she knows exactly where she’s going. Looking back I can see so clearly how God created each of our kids and grandkids so perfectly and uniquely them.”
“It’s not our job as parents to make our kids into anything. We were simply entrusted by God to help them become who He created them to be,” she continued. “It is our job as parents, grandparents and all those who love them to protect them from the outside forces and influences that might try to take that away, and even more than that to prepare them for the world outside of the protection that we can give.”
“So just a little encouragement for today…let them walk, hold their hand when needed, teach them boundaries, give guidance and hugs and kisses when they fall and above all else, instill in them the confidence that God is with them wherever they go!” Robertson added.
With six grown children, Robertson knows a lot about parenting. As she has watched her children grow into the people God made them to be, she has been there to support them through it all. Now as a grandma, Robertson is incredibly thankful for the opportunity to be with young kids again while shepherding her own kids through the path of parenthood.

DUCK DYNASTY fans will get a peek into the Robertson family’s new dynamics this summer with DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL, which will feature two 10-episode seasons.
“Going back on A&E feels a little like going back home,” said Korie and her husband Willie Robertson in a statement. “We’re thankful for all who have followed along as our family has grown and expanded and can’t wait to get cameras rolling again on all our new adventures, or perhaps misadventures.”
THE REVIVAL will center around Willie, Korie, their adult children and grandchildren.
“With their dynasty expanding into more than just ducks, Willie and Korie will bring their signature humor and family fun as they grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy,” the logline reads.
