Jen Lilley, Kathleen Quinlan and Michelle Hurd are all set to star in HOLIDAY HEARTS, a movie based on Dana Volney’s book, A Heart for the Holidays.

Quinlan starred in APOLLO 13, THE DOORS, PRISON BREAK and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. She is an Oscar nominee. Lilley is known for her roles in GAF productions and DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Hurd has starred in BLINDSPOT, LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and STAR TREK: PICARD.

Lilley will take the lead as Silver Morgenstern, an emotionally burnt-out heart surgeon who meets a terminally ill man, Fisher Tibbs, who’s ready to let go of life. Quinlan will play her mother, and Hurd will play a senior surgeon who’s Morgenstern’s rival and co-worker.

“This powerful and layered script is one of the most moving stories I’ve ever come across,” Lilley said. “To see it coming together with such an extraordinarily accomplished cast, whose talent and accolades will elevate this project to the level it deserves, is truly exciting.”

“Aside from an incredible script and star power HOLIDAY HEARTS is the first in a potential trilogy, making this a holiday franchise for years to come,” Lilley told Northern Virginia Magazine in November. “The film focuses on themes of second chances, charity, and love, which are perfect for the holiday season. My work in foster care and philanthropy adds extra depth to my connection and love for this film.”

Lilley recently starred in GAF’s A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS, which earned a Movieguide® Teddy Bear Award® this year. The family movie is currently streaming on Pure Flix.

HOLIDAY HEARTS will film in Las Cruces, New Mexico, in May. Ross Kagan Marks will direct. Lilley, Marks, Bill True, Keagan Karnes and Jessica Yingling will produce. Bill True wrote the screenplay.

Marks’ profile includes SANTA’S COUSIN, WALKING WITH HERB, HOMAGE and THE TWILIGHT OF THE GODS. Las Cruces is Marks’ hometown.

“Directing HOLIDAY HEARTS in my hometown of Las Cruces, New Mexico, is incredibly special for me,” Marks said. “Being able to work alongside Jen Lilley, Michelle Hurd and Kathleen Quinlan to bring Bill True’s heartfelt script to life in a place that is so important to me and my family makes the experience even more meaningful.”
