GENERAL HOSPITAL Josh Swickard spends his time away from set on rolling hills with his family and farm.

“It’s a beautiful mess, and Lauren and I are just overflowing with gratitude,” Swickard told Women’s World. “We have a two and a three-year-old, 400 Hass avocado trees, 13 chickens, three dogs and careers we’re trying to juggle. It’s a challenge, but when life gets hard, we look at each other like, There are the good old days. Don’t forget it.’”

Swickard isn’t the only one in the family involved in the entertainment business. His wife, Lauren, writes the PureFlix series COUNTY RESCUE, and is working on a Netflix comedy. While Lauren works, Swickard embraces his roll as a girl dad, pampering his daughters at every chance.

“I had a strong om, three sisters and no brothers, so I grew up braiding hair and going to ballet. I had a lot of girl power going on in my house, so when I put on the Mom hat for a few weeks, it probably comes a little more natural than it should,” he explained. “And I love every second of it.”

“Sometimes, it’s hard, but usually, the worst thing that happens is I build really bad habits that my wife has to break,” Swickard added. “She’ll get home and all of us are my king size bed, and I’m like, ‘Hello, they love sleeping here, now. I’m so sorry. Figure it out.’”

The Swickards aren’t the only ones to step away from the chaos of the entertainment industry in favor of a slower, more simple lifestyle.

As Swickared enjoys his life on the farm with his kids, he isn’t the only celebrity choosing a more simple lifestyle over the fast-paced glam of L.A. STRANGER THINGS star, Millie Bobby Brown, for example, recently shared how she loves her farm life and is incredibly focused on starting a family now that she is married to Jake Bongiovi.

After marrying Jake Bongiovi last year, actress Millie Bobby Brown revealed that having kids is their top priority for their futures and they are both focused on starting a family, no matter what.

“My mom actually had her first child at 21 and my dad was 19,” Brown, who is now 21 years old, told the SmartLess podcast, per E! News. “This has been my thing since before I met Jake. I wanted to be a mom just the way my mom was to me.”

“Jake knows how important it is to me. Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally,” she continued, adding that her husband was on board, with one requirement. “Jake was like we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing. And my thing was I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future.”

Brown went as far as to clarify that they will have kids no matter what. Even if they end up unable to convenience biological kids, they will raise a family regardless.
