Great American Family announced it is holding a special Easter event on Facebook Live to celebrate all of the good things that have come into our lives through the resurrection of Christ.
“Join us for a special Facebook Live event as we reflect on the power of the resurrection and the hope it brings to our lives,” Great American Family posted across social media. “Be inspired, uplifted, and encouraged in your faith during this special event…You won’t want to miss this faith-filled celebration!”
The event will feature Great American Family star Candace Cameron Bure, evangelist Christine Caine and pastor Max Lucado while being hosted by actor Cameron Mathison. The event will air on April 16, starting at 8/7 central.
Shortly after the announcement of the event, Bure shared just what Easter means to her.

“I’m so excited to be celebrating the Easter season with all of you,” she said. “This week we celebrate the greatest victory in history; the triumph of the resurrection. Easter isn’t just a story of the past. It is a promise of new life, redemption [and] unshakable hope. When Jesus rose from the grave, He conquered sin and death forever, proving God’s power is greater than any darkness we face. The resurrection isn’t just something to remember; it’s something to live every single day. God’s love is alive, His promises are true, and because of Jesus, we have eternal hope.”
Great American Family’s celebration of Easter exemplifies the company’s commitment to lifting up God in everything it does. Since launching in 2021, the network has become a major player in the entertainment industry and one of the leaders bringing faith-based content to the masses. The network’s incredible success has also inspired others in the industry to take Christian content seriously and focus more resources towards creating it themselves.
“We have a very loyal audience and we happen to believe the majority of the country wants to see traditional family values and really experience content that’s supportive of faith, family and country,” said Great American Family CEO Bill Abbott. “And you look at Hollywood and 98, 99% of what’s produced is…anti-American, people of faith are demeaned and mocked, families are never shown in the traditional sense.”
“Currently, as we sit today, we are the leading streaming provider of faith and family content that’s supportive of country,” Abbott continued. “Linear TV is a place where we have had a lot of success…we are on that…mission…and we will never deviate. It is entertainment without compromise. We’ll never compromise our standards or let our viewers down.”
