Priscilla Shirer reminded her fans that Christ has already secured our victory over Satan, and because of that, the truths He speaks over us are true, even if we don’t believe them.
“When the enemy sees a daughter or a son of God coming his way, he’s shaking in his boots, not because of you but because of the Holy Spirit of God that lives inside of you,” Shirer told the TBN audience. “I came to tell somebody today that even if you don’t believe what it is that the word of God declares to be true about you, you need to know that the enemy does. He knows that every single thing that God’s word declares to be true about you…even if you’re not convinced about it, the enemy is.”
“He knows that you have been forgiven. He knows that there is therefore now no condemnation for those of us who are in Christ Jesus. He knows that you have been given the victory. He knows that you have been made competent by the spirit of God. He knows that there is therefore now no condemnation for you or for me. No shame, no guilt,” Shirer continued. “He knows that you have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind. And y’all, he knows that in the end, we win.”
This reminder is incredibly important as Satan works to tear us all down and make us question the truth of God’s word. Jesus even warns His followers about the trials they will face while in the world but assures them He has secured the victory.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world,” Jesus says in John 16:33.
Despite this warning, when facing trials it can be difficult to hold on to the word of God and trust His plan. However, Shirer has spoken about this in the past, encouraging her fans to look God’s previous faithfulness in their life to embolden themselves about His sovereignty.

“What’s been helpful for me, I didn’t even realize I was doing it, but actually writing down and keeping a track record of when you see the fingerprints of God in your life…” Shirer told TBN. “It helps to build your confidence when you’re going through something now, because you realize, wait a minute, if He sustained me in my twenties and my thirties and even in my teenage years, when I look back and see the little things I wrote down, I go, ‘Oh my gosh, the Lord was moving even then…’ That track record becomes a booster for you in the current things that you’re facing in life.”
It is only by hanging on to God’s word that we can prevail over the enemy and enjoy Christ’s victory over Satan, rather than allowing the Prince of Air to rule our lives through fear.
