Candace Cameron Bure and the Great American Family honor the resurrection of Christ in a new video shared on Instagram that encourages us to reflect on the power of the resurrection.
“I’m so excited to be celebrating the Easter season with all of you,” Bure began. “This week, we celebrate the greatest victory in history, the triumph of the resurrection. Easter isn’t just a story from the past; it’s the promise of new life, redemption and unshakable hope.”
“When Jesus rose from the grave, He conquered sin and death forever, proving God’s power is greater than any darkness we face. The resurrection isn’t just something to remember. It’s something to live every single day,” the actress continued. “God’s love is alive, His promises are true, and because of Jesus, we have eternal hope.”
“As you spend time this week reflecting on the power of the resurrection, we invite you to stream THE HISTORY OF EASTER on Pure Flix, a Museum of the Bible special exploring the origins of Easter and its traditions. Let’s celebrate together as we step into the victory of Easter,” Bure concluded.
THE HISTORY OF EASTER is written and directed by Jim Hanon, and the short film is produced by Steve Green, Harry Hargrave, Jim Hanon, and Dave Hanon.
“Easter Sunday is the highest holy day in Christianity. Join Matthew West and the Museum of the Bible to learn about the Easter traditions enjoyed today back to the event that started it all,” an official logline of the film reads.

Many followers of the Great American Family commented on Bure’s Instagram video, expressing their gratitude for the resurrection of Jesus.
“It’s an amazing truth to grasp. Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice for us giving us a GREAT gift of the Atonement,” one person commented. “He rose and lives today. Knowing that Our Savior Jesus The Christ is there for us. He loves us so very much. Having the gift of the Holy Ghost to testify of the truth of where we came from and where we are going, principles, covenants, and ordinances is Heavenly. I am very glad that this channel promotes God’s plan of Redemption/happiness.”
“Thank you, God for sending Jesus our redeemer, our Savior!! Have a blessed Easter!!!” another wrote.
“Where would any of us be without Jesus? Thank God for the Resurrection,” another person said.
The resurrection of Jesus is the most important moment in the history of the world. Without the resurrection, the act of salvation wouldn’t exist for people now. Let’s celebrate and thank God for sending His one and only son to pay the price none of us could. Let’s also thank Jesus for His love, obedience and willingness to die a gruesome death on the cross for all of us.
