After stunning the judges with his AMERICAN IDOL audition, Canaan James Hill is back, amazing everyone with his worship.

During a special performance at the Aulani Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii, the 17-year-old from Dallas sang the song “Glory to Glory to Glory.”

Despite dealing with some allergies, Canaan, an aspiring preacher, still wowed the judges.

“We know that you have tricks on tricks on tricks in your bag, because you just walk out there and just do them all like it’s nothing,” Carrie Underwood said, noting that she thinks his allergies “kind of feel like that might have forced you to simplify a little bit, and it was really nice.”

“I think you have one of the most dynamic voices I’ve ever seen since I’ve been on the show,” Luke Bryan added. “This tremendous performance, very uplifting. Your ability to be on the beach and have church on the beach was pretty amazing.”

Lionel Ritchie praised the young man’s talent, saying that he looks forward to hearing Hill sing from other genres in the future.

“I just love it when you just interpret the word,” Ritchie added. “But on top of that, I cannot wait to hear you when you start interpreting other songs outside of the church because I know you’ve got the ability to navigate your own sound within those songs. But you nailed that song tonight.”

In a post of the performance on Hill’s Instagram page, fans in the comment section expressed their excitement about how he is spreading the gospel message.

“At this point, good brother probably doesn’t even care about if he wins or not as long as God gets to glory, and the message is spread to the millions of viewers. This is the real WIN 💯🙏🏾” one user said. Another person added, “I love this!!! @canaansangz Keep singing and never be ashamed to give God praise 🙏🏾.”

Judges and fans have been blown away by the teen’s talent since day one.

During his first addition, Underwood said, “The words, velvet butter. Like, it was smooth but powerful. I’m like, where have you been the last 17 years? You have a gift,” while Bryan added, “When you sing in church, what do people do? Do they just run to the baptism pit and jump in it and get saved immediately?”

The round held in Hawaii included all 24 remaining IDOL contestants. Although the performances were pre-taped, 12 aired on Sunday and the other 12 aired on Monday, but fans determine the fate of the contestants by their votes. The results will be revealed in a special three-hour episode on Easter Sunday.
