Christian artist Danny Gokey is reminding us to have faith while waiting for a miracle.
“How long have you been waiting for your miracle?” he asked in a recent Instagram post caption, written under a video of him singing his track, “Stay Strong.”
The AMERICAN IDOL alum continued, “Even if you never get the answer you want, don’t let it make you lose your faith! Trust that God is still in control and working ALL things together for good in the end…Stay Strong in Him!”
“Man this song hits in a good way,” one fan commented on the post. “Thank u so much Danny. You are touching so many lives with your talent and passion for Jesus. Everyone of your songs has blessed me. Keep on keeping on. We need it!!!”
Gokey recently released the music video for his 2024 song “Only For A Moment.”
“The pain, tests & trials you face today will be your testimony tomorrow, so don’t lose heart. He is working EVERYTHING out for your good!” the singer said in a statement about the video, via The Christian Beat.

“Only For A Moment” is featured on his Sound of Heaven album, which he created to reflect the diversity we see in the world.
“The kingdom of God, you know, it’s not just eating and drinking, it’s righteous joy and peace in the Holy Spirit,” he told Baptist News. “We need some joy back in our lives, an infusion of joy will give us strength.”
Gokey also discussed how he put his latest collection of music in God’s hands and refused to limit himself.
“God’s the greatest artist of all time, he’s got the goods and we as his children have access to that,” he explained. “One thing I’ve tried to do is not limit myself. It’s so easy and I’ve done this many times and I’ve regretted it, but you’ll limit yourself. I’ve really disciplined myself in saying, ‘Why can’t I do that?’”
In an interview with Issuu, Gokey spoke about how faith steps in during hard times.
“Thoughts can create feelings, those feelings create actions, and actions create destiny. If you think that you’re not going to make it, then you’re going to feel doubt and ask, ‘Am I OK? What’s going to happen?’” he explained. “Fear steps in, and when it does, there tends to be actions of self-preservation and we barricade and create walls with our rude behavior. But if we think that God works everything together for good, then in that moment we think, I can have joy. I’m going to have peace. I’m not going to put pressure on people around me to fill the void.”
Gokey’s music and encouraging social media messages remind his fans that, even during times of struggle, we can always rely on faith.
