FIXER UPPER’s Joanna Gaines is launching her own show, MINI RENI, on Magnolia Network.
“Known for her large-scale renovations, Joanna Gaines takes on a series of ‘mini’ projects with quick timelines. In each episode, she makes a few intentional, creative additions to transform smaller spaces with big impact,” the show’s description reads.
“What I love about MINI RENI is the freedom to go all-in on just one or two smaller spaces,” Gaines told Variety last Wednesday.
“These aren’t whole-house renovations, so the heart behind the show is to inspire people to design their home gradually, and thoughtfully, so that instead of having to wrap your mind around the million details that go into a bigger renovation, you can enjoy the process of creating beauty by narrowing in, flexing your creativity, and embracing the small details that really tell your story,” she said.
The nine-episode show will debut Wednesday, May 14, on Max and Magnolia Network. A new episode will come out each week at 8 p.m. ET and will end on July 9.
Gaines and her husband, Chip, produce the series via their media company, Blind Nil.
“At Magnolia Network, we’re always seeking stories that are both inspiring and approachable, and ‘Mini Reni’ embodies both,” Magnolia Network president Allison Page said. “Joanna has a remarkable talent for making design feel relatable and engaging, and this series reflects those strengths in a fresh format.”
She continued, “To us, MINI RENI is a celebration of Magnolia Network and the platform it has been for so much creativity. Viewers are going to love seeing this side of Joanna, and I can’t wait to share this special project.”
Gaines announced the show on social media on Wednesday. She shared she got the inspiration for the title when she helped her friend with a small renovation a few years ago. She enjoyed it a lot, and she started to do more small projects.
“Eventually [we] made it into a show! We’re now wrapping up the last few projects for the series premiere of #MiniReni…” she said.
Blind Nil executive vice president Jarett Lambo said, “You’ll see in MINI RENI, we focused on the magic Jo creates — it wasn’t about extensive rebuilds, but about meaningful spaces and the dynamics between how people live and where they spend their everyday lives with their loved ones.”
Gaines just dropped her new summer collection this week, too. Her shop includes mirrors, decorations, candles and bedding with strawberry and gingham themes, GOOD MORNING AMERICA reported Tuesday.
“We really wanted this summer collection to look and feel like the spirit of the season. Nostalgic, but not without a little adventure,” Gaines said. “…I hope you’ll see familiar colors showcased in vibrant hues and vintage patterns reimagined in unexpected places.”
