Summer hasn’t even begun, but Candace Cameron Bure is already hard at work on TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY, a new Christmas movie for Great American Family.
“TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY transcends time with messages of love, sacrifice, and hope that are relevant to every era,” Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media, said in a press release. “Candace Cameron Bure is a superb storyteller and star, and TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY tells the story of how one special message can change lives — even decades later.”
In TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY, Bure plays Ally, a woman who inherits her grandmother’s letter shop. She wants to sell, but a chance meeting with old-soul Bennett who wants to preserve Ally’s grandmother’s legacy might just change her mind.
“In a world of technology, TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY harkens back to a simpler time and the core values passed to us by our parents and grandparents. It reminds us that the best gifts we receive, are the ones we freely give away,” Bure said of the new movie.
In a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bure spoke about how she chooses her Christmas projects.

“I read so many Christmas scripts all year long,” the FULL HOUSE actress explained. “I’m looking for something that feels fresh to me and will resonate with the audience. Especially for Great American Family channel — where we lean into faith in our movies, and our tagline for the channel is, ‘Christmas as it’s meant to be’ — I’m looking for things that really touch the heart and have more purpose to them than just the magic of Christmas or the Santa Claus of Christmas.”
In addition to Paul Green, who will play Bennett, Bure’s daughter Natasha will also appear in TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY.
Natasha has previously appeared in another one of her mother’s projects, AURORA TEAGARDEN: HAUNTED BY MURDER, but that doesn’t mean Bure is handing her daughter roles.
“A lot of people will kind of assume that if I get any job or work at all that it’s from her,” Natasha told TODAY. “Or it’s given to me or it’s handed to me, and it’s honestly quite literally the opposite.”
She continued, “I work hard for everything that I do, and I’m out here like everyone else just grinding and trying to follow my dreams and make them come true. So I think that’s one misconception that’s a little bit frustrating to see.”
Fans of Bure and her daughter can’t wait to see the mother-daughter pair in TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY!
