More Detail:
BUILDER BROTHERS DREAM FACTORY, streaming on YouTube, follows younger versions of HGTV’s Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott as they work together to invent and build gadgets that help them solve problems.
In Episode 1, the brothers are dismayed that the barber who usually cuts their hair is out of town. They and their friends Mel and Ayanna build a “Groom-ba” haircutting robot. Chaos ensues when the robot goes rogue, and the kids must devise a plan to catch and deactivate it.
Episode 2 sees Drew and Jonathan work to capture their friend Carlos’ bird. However, when they end up with two identical birds, the brothers and their friends must capture both birds and return the other to their new friend, CeCe.
In Episode 3, the kids read an exciting story about heroes defending a castle from a dragon. They wonder if they could do the same and are given the chance to see when Drew and Jonathan’s dad present the group with old cardboard boxes. They build a castle and must fight off attacks from twins Biff and Tiff, rescue their pets, and “fight” a dragon-like recycling truck.
Episode 4 follows the group preparing for a performance with the school band. When Drew is roped in at the last minute to play the trumpet, his less-than-stellar efforts attract the attention of migrating swans who have lost their leader. The kids must figure out how to lead the swans away from town and reunite them with the lead swan so they can continue migrating.
In Episode 5, the kids are excited about an upcoming robotics competition. Things go sideways when Biff’s battling bots go haywire and start going after the rest of the robots. Drew, Jonathan, and their friends must think on their feet to devise a plan to trap the robots before they destroy the competition.
In Episode 6, Drew and Jonathan prepare to perform in the school talent show. When Drew’s dance partner drops out, he asks a reluctant Jonathan, who agrees. However, after rehearsals don’t go well, the brothers create special shoes to help him dance. Before the talent show, the shoes malfunction. Will the brothers dance it off, or will the glitching shoes ruin their performance?
