Clint Eastwood, director of the MOVIEGUIDE® Award-winning movies GRAN TORINO and CHANGELING, doesn’t like political correctness.
He said people live in fear of being labeled a racist for telling ethic jokes or jokes about nationality.
“People have lost their sense of humor,” Eastwood said. “In former times we constantly made jokes about different races. You can only tell them today with one hand over your mouth. Otherwise, you will be insulted as a racist. I find that ridiculous.
“I don’t want to be politically correct. We’re all spending too much time and energy trying to be politically correct about everything.”
MOVIEGUIDE® also notes that, by bandying the word “racist” around so much, the term tends to lose its meaning when it really counts.
