Freedom Watch Serves Iranian President on Torture Lawsuit

Date: Monday, September 28, 2009

Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch (FreedomWatchUSA.org) confirmed Thursday that he has served Iranian President Mahmoud Amendinejad, who has denied the Holocaust and vowed to kill all Jews, in a class action lawsuit in the alleged torture death of a freedom protestor and other terror victims.

The lawsuit asks for $10 billion from the president, the nation of Iran, Iran’s Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, and Islamic leader Ayatollah Sayid Ali Hoseyni Khamenei on behalf of victims of Iran-sponsored terror, including the lead plaintiff, an Iranian woman whose brother reportedly was eventually tortured to death in an Iranian prison after being arrested for peaceful protests.

Klayman said the Iranian people “deserve the right to be free.”

He hopes the lawsuit will show President Obama that he needs to speak out more in defense of the Iranian people and other victims of Iran’s Islamic leaders.

The lawsuit has been filed in the U.S. District Court for Washington, D.C.
