Young Voters Influenced by Celebrity Endorsements

In another sign of cultural collapse, a new study by researchers at Washington State University shows that celebrity endorsements are an effective political strategy for engaging younger voters and getting them to the polls.

The study found that an 11% increase in voter turnout among 18 to 24-year-olds in recent years was “largely attributable to celebrity get-out-the-vote promotions.”

Also, for example, the support of Oprah Winfrey helped Barack Obama win the presidency, and the support of actor Chuck Norris helped Mike Huckabee come in second to John McCain during the Republican primaries.

This trend shows that MOVIEGUIDE®’s efforts to help Hollywood celebrities in their Christian walk, through the Annual Faith & Values Awards Gala and other venues, is taking on an increasing importance.

You can help by sending a regular donation to MOVIEGUIDE®. Every little bit helps in redeeming the values of the entertainment industry and the people within it.
