Actress Ali Landry on How Gratitude Can ‘Reshape Your Life’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Actress Ali Landry is discussing her new book, “Reshape Your Life,” and sharing a simple way people can start to change their mindsets.
“‘Reshape’ is really a change of form,” she explained in a video for Great American Family. “I think so many of us, in our own lives, are afraid of change.”
Landry continued, “This book really is a guide to help you find those areas in your life that [are] no longer serving you, and really — I share with you the tools I personally use that got me through some pretty intense reshapes.”
One of those tools is simply “shift[ing]” your mindset.
“When you talk about mindset — our minds are so powerful, and words are so powerful, and sometimes we tell ourselves things that are not true, but then we start to become what we tell ourselves,” Landry explained. “The easiest way to shift that mindset is putting a daily practice of gratitude into place.”
She shared that she has made gratitude a part of her daily morning routine and has even introduced the practice to her children.
In an Instagram post about “Reshape your Life,” Landry wrote, “I wrote this book to encourage all women not to settle, because we are all worth it. I’m sharing personal stories along with the tools, resources, routines and the education I’ve learned over the years to reshape my mind, heart, soul and health.”
Landry is also promoting her husband, director Alejandro Gómez Monteverde’s, latest movie, CABRINI.
“You want a great Movie to see this weekend? This is it!” she wrote on Instagram. “I guarantee that her story will directly affect your life and you will be INSPIRED!”
A portion of the Movieguide® review for CABRINI reads:
CABRINI is a powerful story about Mother Cabrini’s love for the afflicted in America, especially her fellow Italian immigrants. The movie has a strong Christian, moral worldview. It stresses that faith overcomes fear, and that love is stronger than violence. It’s also steeped in Catholic imagery, but features prayer and the reciting of God’s Word. The astounding cinematography, compelling performances, and well-paced story result in an inspiring portrayal of the real-life saint. Due to some violence and adult themes and scenes, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger viewers.
