Actress Candace Cameron Bure recently celebrated the baptism of her daughter, Natasha Bure.
The former FULL HOUSE actress shared the news on her Instagram, noting that she was “overwhelmed by God’s goodness and grace.”
Natasha publicly professed her faith at Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch, California, on March 20.
“As a mama, there’s nothing that tops this day. Nothing!” Bure wrote. “My three adult children have now all professed their faith, love, service, and devotion to Jesus Christ; Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Savior of the world.”
Bure thanked Pastor Dudley Rutherford for baptizing her daughter and quoted Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
In a later interview with Faithwire, Bure encouraged parents to continue to pray for the salvation of their children.
“Pray, pray, pray for your children every day of their lives,” Bure said. “Just as importantly, walk the talk yourself! You are your children’s biggest and brightest example.”
“How you handle the hardships in attitude and character by praying, submitting to God, and honoring the Lord in your decisions speaks volumes to your kids, even if you don’t think they see it at the time,” she added. “Be the example you wanted to have growing up. God is faithful, even when you aren’t.
“Read the Bible. And read the Bible to your children,” she added.
Both Natasha and Candace were former hosts at the annual Movieguide® Awards and have also acted alongside one another in several movies.
