Actress from CLUELESS Was Going to Get an Abortion Until God Moved in Her Life

Nearly 25 years ago, the coming of age movie CLUELESS released in theaters across the country. Stacey Dash played Dionne, a sort of sidekick to the protagonist. Much has happened in Dash’s life since the cult classic movie opened, which caused the Christian actress to thank God for His provision in her life, namely when it comes to a child that she almost aborted.
Stacey Dash spoke about being an abusive relationship in a recent interview that led her to a lifestyle that she never intended, stating, “part of me felt like I deserved it [the abuse] because what I was coming from was no better. I didn’t have an identity.” Thankfully, Dash ended things with her boyfriend. Shen then started dating the musician Christopher Williams and during this time got pregnant. Dash recalled, “when I got pregnant, I was doing a lot of drugs, and I didn’t want to live. I wanted to die.”
Feeling like her circumstance was devoid of hope, Dash remembered, “I was going to have an abortion.” Dash was literally on the operating table when she called out for an answer from the Lord. “God told me, ‘Keep your son.’ I ripped the IV out of my arm and I said, ‘I’m keeping my son.’”
Dash reiterated God’s provision for her now 25-year-old son and posted the following on her Instagram.
Dash’s two children Austin (pictured above) and Lola (12) aren’t naïve to their mother past. “The best way to protect my children is to be honest with them,” Dash said. “I let them know that I survived. I’m not a victim and there is nothing they can’t overcome.”
As for the abortion industry, Dash has an opinion about the way it operates. “I am so sick of hearing Planned Parenthood and their abortion allies on the Left claim to be pro-women and pro-minorities,” the actresses exclaimed in a blog post. “The facts just don’t back up their boasts. If you are so pro African American communities, Planned Parenthood, stop targeting black women and aborting our children.”
Her stance on abortion even compelled Dash to act in the upcoming pro-life movie ROE. V. WADE which costars Nick Leob and Jon Voight.
