Actress Shari Rigby Credits the Kendrick Brothers For the Next Step in Her Career

Christian actress Shari Rigby credits Alex and Stephen Kendrick for inspiring her to take the next step in her career – directing.

Rigby has been part of multiple Movieguide® Award-winning movies, most recently OVERCOMER with the Kendricks and THE LEAST OF THESE: THE GRAHAM STAINES STORY.

“Thank you Alex, Stephen and Shannon Kendrick for pouring into me, and so many others who desire to glorify God with their lives and through the stories they tell,” Rigby posted to Instagram. Rigby is currently directing the movie IDENTITY CRISIS.

“Your leadership, wisdom, and friendship over the years has put me on solid ground as a Christ follower first, second, as a filmmaker. After each Kendrick’s Brothers project that I’ve worked on, I’ve walked away stronger in my faith and ready to dig into what God has in store for me,” she continued.

“Alex, thank you!!! You asked me, ‘Acting or directing, which one do you want to do more?’ I immediately answered, ‘directing.’ You then gave me an opportunity to direct a scene on OVERCOMER and on your new film, encouraging me through the process. Thank you for saying ‘Yes’ to those who inquired about my ability to direct and lead a team, opening the door for me to direct my first feature film, IDENTITY CRISIS. I am honored to call you brothers in Christ and friends! Grateful beyond measure!”

The Kendrick Brothers are currently wrapping postproduction on the movie LIFEMARK with Kirk Cameron.

IDENTITY CRISIS is written by Kairos Prize® winning writer Alexandra Boylan and her sister Andrea Polnaszek.
