Actresses Melissa Joan Hart, Patricia Heaton, Meagan Good Laud This One-of-a-Kind World Vision Campaign
By Jessilyn Lancaster, Managing Editor
Christian actress melissa joan hart lauded world vision’s latest campaign to turn the tables on child sponsorship.
In traditional sponsorship programs, pictures of children in need are posted in a gallery. Families who want to sponsor then look through the photos to choose the child. In the “chosen” campaign, children choose the families they want to sponsor them.
“chosen puts the power to choose their sponsor in the hands of the child,” said Edgar Sandoval Sr., president of world vision U.S.
“chosen introduces children to the first of many empowering choices they will now have through child sponsorship, so they can become agents of lasting change,” Sandoval continued. “We are already seeing God move in miraculous ways through chosen.”
In addition to Hart, other celebrities have promoted the chosen campaign.
